Remoulade Sauce

A Southern Sauce with Zest

ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped pickles or relish
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (optional, for extra heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • method

    1. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and ketchup.
    2. Add lemon juice, chopped pickles or relish, and minced garlic.
    3. Stir in paprika, Cajun seasoning, and hot sauce if using.
    4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    5. Mix until smooth and well blended.
    6. Chill for 15–30 minutes before serving to let the flavors develop.
